Sega Sammy will be implementing a 30 percent average monthly salary for current employees. The new salary policy comes into effect on July 1st.

The information was shared on company’s website, following the firm’s upward revision of its FY23 earnings outlook on the back of stronger-than-expected financial results for the nine months to 31st December 2022.

The casino equipment supplier, which produces video games, supplies Pachislot and Pachinko games and machines, says that the pay raise aims to “further stabilize employee income”, “create a more comfortable working environment” and “further strengthen its global competitiveness”.

According to the revised compensation system, the initial salary for university graduates will increase from JPY222,000 ($1,645) to JPY300,000 ($2,223), an increase of approximately 35 percent.
