Konami posts record 9-month profit as all business units recover

Konami Holdings posted record revenue and profit for the nine months ending December 31st, as all of its business units recovered from the impact of Covid.

Profit attributable to owners of the parent was Y42.38 billion ($367.6 million), up 57 percent from the prior year, while revenue was Y215.04 billion, up 12 percent. 

The Gaming & Systems division was the best performer, with revenue jumping almost 59 percent to Y18.68 billion. It made a profit of Y2.52 billion, compared with a loss of Y1.48 billion a year earlier. 

Konami’s largest division – Digital Entertainment – saw a 6.4 percent increase in revenue to Y153.95 billion. 

The company said its SYNKROS casino management system had continued to perform strongly and installations into casinos are progressing. It is also proceeding with the installation of historical horse racing systems.
