Genting Cruise lines, a unit of Genting Hong Kong, said it had completed the vaccination of officers and crew of its Dream Cruise vessel ahead of the planned resumption of sailing on July 30th.
“We are extremely excited to be the first cruise ship to return to Hong Kong – a historically important home port for Dream Cruises and one of the most stunning skylines in the world. After being away for nearly a year and a half, we truly miss Hong Kong and we can’t wait to welcome our guests back onboard,” said Captain Jukka Silvennoinen of Genting Dream.
Another of Genting’s ships, The World Dream, sailing on a cruise to nowhere out of Singapore, was this week forced to return to port after one of its passengers tested positive for Covid. The ship had nearly 3,000 people on board.
