SBC announces five industry leaders for 2026 Hall of Fame

SBC has unveiled the five industry leaders selected for its Hall of Fame Class of 2026, recognising individuals whose achievements and influence have helped shape the global betting and gaming industry.

The induction ceremony will take place on 28 September at the Palácio Estoril Hotel in Lisbon as part of the invite-only SBC Leaders Summit, held one day before SBC Summit 2026.

Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, the SBC Hall of Fame was launched in 2016 as the Sports Betting Hall of Fame and has since evolved alongside the industry it honours.

This year’s inductees are:

Commenting on the announcement, SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark said: “When I look at this year’s five inductees, what strikes me is how much ground they cover between them. Entrepreneurship, technology, integrity, regulation, operator leadership. You don’t often get that in one room. Celebrating them in Lisbon isn’t just about five great careers. It’s a chance to recognise how far our industry has come, and the people who got us here.”

The Class of 2026 joins a distinguished list of previous Hall of Fame honourees, including 2025 inductees Esmeralda Britton, Chad Millman, Scotty Schettler and Shelley White.

Past inductees also include prominent industry figures such as John Anderson, Victor Chandler, Chris Christie, Denise Coates, Fred Done, Carsten Koerl, Pontus Lindwall and Norbert Teufelberger.

The SBC Leaders Summit will bring together more than 500 C-level executives for what SBC describes as the industry’s most exclusive gathering. Alongside closed-door networking, presentations, regulatory roundtables and panel discussions, attendees will take part in a programme of social events in Estoril, including a cocktail reception, gala dinner, poker tournament and after-party at the historic Casino Estoril.

Participants will also receive full access to SBC Summit and the Affiliate Leaders Summit, taking place from 29 September to 1 October at FIL and MEO Arena in Lisbon.
