SBC Summit 2026 will begin in style as internationally acclaimed Irish band The Script takes centre stage at the event’s highly anticipated Opening Party, delivering a headline performance for thousands of delegates gathering in Lisbon.

Taking place on 29 September at the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, the concert will officially kick off SBC Summit week and mark one of the most prominent entertainment bookings in the conference’s history. The Opening Party is powered by 1xBet and serves as the first major networking event of the summit.

With more than 14 billion global streams, six UK number-one albums and over five million records sold worldwide, The Script brings a catalogue of chart-topping hits that have resonated with audiences for nearly two decades. Attendees can expect performances of fan favourites including “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” “Breakeven,” “For the First Time,” and “Hall of Fame.”

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said: “Bringing The Script to SBC Summit reflects our ambition to create memorable experiences that go beyond traditional conference networking. Their music has connected with audiences around the globe for years, making them an ideal act to open an event that brings together professionals from every corner of the international betting and gaming industry.”

He added: “The Opening Party has become one of the most anticipated moments of SBC Summit week. Having a band of The Script’s calibre perform live in Lisbon will set an incredible tone for the days ahead.”

A band with global reach

Since breaking through in the late 2000s, The Script has become one of Ireland’s most successful bands, with hits including “We Cry,” “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” and “Breakeven,” helping establish a global fanbase.

The group continued its rise with chart-topping albums such as Science & Faith and #3, which featured the international hit “Hall of Fame” with will.i.am, followed by No Sound Without Silence, Freedom Child, Sunsets & Full Moons, and Satellites.

In 2026, The Script entered a new chapter with the release of The User’s Guide to Being Human, the single “Man in the Arena,” and the announcement of a new world tour.

Networking and entertainment across summit week

The Opening Party serves as the first of several networking experiences available throughout SBC Summit 2026 to delegates holding VIP, Networking, Business or Affiliate Leaders Summit VIP passes. The evening combines complimentary refreshments, live entertainment and opportunities for industry professionals to connect before the exhibition and conference programme begins.

SBC Summit’s social calendar will conclude on 1 October with INFINITY Lisbon at the MEO Arena, featuring a headline performance from global electronic music superstar Tiësto, supported by BlasterJaxx and Marc Vedo.

Returning to Lisbon for its third edition, SBC Summit will take place from 29 September to 1 October, bringing together 40,000 professionals from the betting, gaming, payments and affiliate sectors for three days of networking, education and business development.

Attendance for the Opening Party is limited to 3,000 guests, with access granted on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible pass holders. Delegates holding VIP Area Opening Party Wristbands will receive guaranteed entry.
