The International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA) has appointed Mark Pace as the group’s new President, after the departure of long-time head Peter DeRaedt.
The group issued a notice on Monday regarding the change.
Pace has been part of IGSA for over 20 years, serving previously in roles such as Committee Chair, Board Member, Treasurer, and Vice-Chairman of the Board, before joining IGSA as the Managing Director of GSA Europe and Vice President of IGSA.
The shift implies that Pace will continue his responsibilities as Managing Director of GSA Europe.
The IGSA also formalized its appointments to the Board of Directors for this year, with Nimish Purohit – Vice President of Product Resilience at Aristocrat appointed as Chairman.
Martin Peak – Director of Technical Compliance at Playtech was elected Vice Chairman.
“I am deeply honored to take over from our long-time President Peter DeRaedt, who has graciously agreed to remain a part of the association providing advice whenever needed. I am very excited to get to work with our new Board and our members to identify areas and set up committees to create Standards and Best Practices in support of our industry’s needs,” notes Pace.
In addition, Pace noted “Having Nimish move from Vice Chair to Chair is terrific. His background as a former US Federal and State gaming regulator along with his experience on the commercial side, gives him the ability to understand issues holistically as he leads the Board.”
The IGSA is the largest technical standards development organization for the gaming industry worldwide, it curries its membership from 20 countries and gathers input from suppliers, operators and regulators in over 30 countries.
