Aristocrat has announced that Hector Fernandez has resigned as CEO of Aristocrat Gaming and ‘accepted a role with a competitor’.
Fernandez had been with the company for over six years, holding the position of CEO since March of 2022.
According to a company filing on Thursday, Fernandez will be replaced by Craig Toner, former CFO and Executive VP of Operations for Aristocrat Gaming.
Toner has served for over seven years with the company both in Australia and the United States.
Most recently he has been serving as CFO, coinciding with his relocation to Las Vegas three years ago.
Commenting on the new appointment, Aristocrat’s CEO and Managing Director Trevor Croker noted that “Craig has been a key part of the global Aristocrat Gaming leadership team that has delivered strong growth and transformational change over recent years […] Craig will ensure a seamless leadership transition, maintaining a relentless customer focus, and continuing to execute our plans. Aristocrat Gaming today is a global team with extraordinary resilience, depth and momentum, and I have every confidence that Craig will continue to build on this going forward”.
The company noted in its release that contractual obligations for Hector Fernandez include a 12 month non-compete obligation.
