Crown Resorts has confirmed David Tsai as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), subject to regulatory approvals.
Tsai had been Acting CEO of Crown Resorts, after Ciarán Carruthers announced his departure in late August.
Tsai is a relatively recent team member at Crown, joining the company as CEO of Crown Perth in December of 2022.
The company notes that Tsai ‘has been directly involved in steering the business through a period of significant transformation during the past two years, while also progressing the Perth reform and remediation program’.
Speaking of the appointment, Crown Resorts Chairman John Borghetti noted that “As CEO, David will focus on the highest standards of guest experience across each of our resorts, including the refurbishment and launch of exciting new venues and experiences at each of our properties throughout 2025 and beyond, while continuing our commitment to safe and responsible gaming”.
Tsai welcomed the promotion, noting “I look forward to leading Crown Resorts as CEO through its next phase of transformation and development”.
Before joining Crown, Tsai had previously worked extensively with MGM Resorts in various positions, as well as with Gold Strike Casino Resort, Monte Carlo Resort and Casino and Aria Resort and Casino, among others.
