POGOs
Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) is the official designation for firms operating in the Philippines that offer online gambling services to markets outside the Philippines. PAGCOR implemented a revised regulatory framework for offshore gaming in August 2023; a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) has been rebranded into Internet Gaming Licenses (IGLs).
On July 22nd, 2024, the Philippines’ President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced a ban on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs), starting from year-end, during his latest State of the Nation Address.
