Luxury cruise operator Crystal Cruises, just a year since its purchase by the A&K Travel Group after the default of Genting Hong Kong, has announced that its planning to buy four new ships to expand the group’s fleet.
At the launch of the group’s new Crystal Serenity ship, the company noted that it has “ambitious growth plans”, following the relaunch of the group’s Serenity and Symphony liners.
CruiseHive notes that the group has signed an MOA with two European shipbuilders for the new vessels, but construction has not yet begun.
The four ships will encompass two “classic ships” and two “expedition vessels”, however details on the capacity and amenities have not yet been released.
