Odds comparison firm rebrands to FairPlay Sports Media

Odds comparison and technology firm Oddschecker is rebranding to FairPlay Sports Media to support its aim of becoming the world’s most significant sports media network.

The company, that started as Oddschecker back in 1999, has over time grown to become a global player in the affiliate and media space, employing over 200 people and working with more than 100 partners across the globe. Its brands include Oddschecker, WhoScored, vime, Confido Network and CasinoSmash.

The rebranding of the Bruin Capital owned firm from Oddschecker Global Media to FairPlay Sports Media is meant to ready it for further expansion.

Its purpose has been set as using the data powered products and services it created over the years to provide value for advertisers and partners, while at the same time allowing punters to compete. Ultimately, the company wants to become ‘the world’s most significant sports media network’, according to the statement sent out as part of the rebranding exercise.

Group CEO Stuart Simms, who previously worked in senior positions at Microsoft, Rakuten and XLMedia, commented: “This is more than a new group name. The launch of FairPlay Sports Media allows us to empower our customers to better compete in sports betting, while delivering significant efficiencies and added value to our partners through the use of our game-changing betting technology.”

“We’ve made various strategic acquisitions – with more in the pipeline – to best place ourselves to create more engagement with sports bettors and the data they need, the independent content they demand, and we’re excited to showcase how this realignment and BetTech focus will benefit everyone in the FairPlay Sports Media Network, particularly in the US market.”
