Bangkok is the chosen location for a WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition, now scheduled to run from July 30th to August 5th.
According to a WPT announcement, the event will take place at UOB LIVE in the newly opened EMSPHERE complex and will run until August 5th, combining poker with a vibrant cultural experience.
WPT Global is an online poker site that is a licensed brand of the World Poker Tour. The exhibition in Thailand is open to players aged 18 and older from all regions, including local participants.
Instead of standard buy-ins, players will pick up a travel package on-site. Three tiers are available: THB7,000 ($212), THB14,000 ($425), and THB37,000 ($1,125).
Each package includes entry into one or more exhibition events, with the top tier granting access to the WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition Championship, which features a THB37 million ($1 million) sponsored travel fund.
Recently, WPT has expanded its presence in Asia with several notable events. The JP Poker Series took place from April 3rd to April 6th, 2025. WPT Asia Swing featured multiple tournaments across Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. WPT Cambodia was held from January 17th to 30th, 2024, marking the first time WPT brought its Main Tour to Cambodia.
