Thailand reported blocking 945,075 URLs linked to online gambling during fiscal 2026, according to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, as it outlined further cooperation with digital platforms and civil society groups.
The total covers October 2025 through September 2026. Court orders covered 835,207 URLs, while another 109,868 were blocked through cooperation with digital platforms.
The figures count gambling-related URLs, rather than individual websites or operators.
The ministry outlined its approach in an October 6th statement following an October 5th meeting with anti-gambling and youth organizations. Planned measures include working with search engine providers to reduce access to gambling websites and related content through search results.
It also proposed mechanisms for members of the public, including young people, to report gambling-related content and their experiences online. A working group would analyze those reports, coordinate with platforms such as TikTok and Meta, and pass relevant information to the Royal Thai Police.
The ministry said its existing enforcement efforts combine police information, artificial intelligence tools used to identify gambling websites, and public tip-offs.
Officials also plan to work with education, interior and security agencies to improve awareness of online gambling risks, particularly among children, young people and students, and promote safer use of social media.
