Thailand’s Anti-Corruption Police are set to deliver a completed investigation file to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) concerning allegations of bribery linked to online gambling operations.
This case involves accusations against former Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, Police General Surachate Hakparn, who allegedly sought to influence legal proceedings through improper payments.
Police Major General Jaroonkiat Panngaeo confirmed that the file contains witness statements, financial records, and relevant documentation, and emphasizes that the submission does not imply guilt, ensuring due process for all involved.
The NACC will have 30 days to decide whether to pursue the case or return it for further police investigation. Authorities highlight the importance of tackling corruption in online gambling, which poses risks related to organized crime and public trust.
