Shareholders of Landing International Development have officially approved the company’s name change to Shin Hwa World Limited.

In a general meeting held on Tuesday, 100 percent of votes were cast in favor of the name change, which will come into effect once the names are registered in Bermuda and Hong Kong.

The group had previously announced its intent to change its name to ‘provide the company with more accurate corporate image and clearer identity’.

It also noted that the change would ‘better reflect the current status of the group’s business development and its direction of future development.

The group currently operates the Jeju Shinhwa World integrated resort in South Korea, with a previous release noting it would ‘remain focused on its core business’ in Jeju.

Previously the group had announced plans to develop an integrated resort in the Philippines but in its interim results it noted it had not yet identified a suitable lease of land.
