Singaporean company New Century Cruise Lines has permanently retired two of its oldest cruise ships, which have been sitting dormant since the wake of the covid-19 pandemic.

Sources within the industry said the company is looking to acquire newer, larger replacement vessels, taking advantage of record-low cruiseship asset values.

The group charters its ships for short-gambling oriented cruises from Singapore to Malaysia.
