Philippine gaming operator Bloomberry Resorts Corporation has issued a clarification note to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), denying news regarding potential expansion plans into the possible future Thai gaming market.
According to the Tuesday filing, Bloomberry indicated that a recent report from the media outlet ‘Bilyonaryo’ about the company’s interest in establishing a casino resort in Thailand is ‘essentially speculation by its writer.’
Bloomberry emphasized that ‘there is no such plan’ to expand their business footprint to Thailand.
Last weekend, Bloomberry Resorts officially opened its latest luxury development, Solaire Resort North, in Quezon City.
Bloomberry Resorts Chairman and CEO Enrique Razon Jr. stated that Solaire Resort North aims to elevate the entertainment experience in Quezon City.
He expressed the company’s intention to serve the growing tourism demand north of Metro Manila and in nearby provinces experiencing rapid commercial and residential development.
Solaire Resort North is situated on a 1.5-hectare site in Quezon City, the largest city of Metro Manila, and with 38 floors, the project involved a $1 billion investment.
Bloomberry, the operator of Solaire Resorts, is already the leader in the Philippine gaming market. Its second integrated resort, Solaire Resort North, is expected to strengthen its market leadership position in the Philippines and raise the regional competitiveness of the Philippine gaming industry.
