Philippine-listed gaming and technology firm DFNN Inc. saw commission income from its licensed gaming operations plunge 66.9 percent year-on-year to PHP21.6 million ($351,000) in the first half of 2026, according to its latest financial results released on Wednesday.
The company attributed the decline from PHP65.4 million ($1.06 million) a year earlier to the delinking of its online gaming platform from e-wallet providers.
The deterioration accelerated in the second quarter, when gaming commission income fell to PHP4.3 million ($69,900). The figure was down 59.5 percent from the same period last year and 75.2 percent from PHP17.3 million ($281,000) in the first quarter.
Group revenue for the six months ended June 30th declined 33.6 percent to PHP106.9 million ($1.74 million), from PHP160.9 million ($2.61 million) a year earlier.
Attributable net loss widened 10.3 percent to PHP263.3 million ($4.28 million), compared with PHP238.7 million ($3.88 million) in the prior-year period.
However, the second-quarter attributable loss narrowed 21.7 percent year-on-year to PHP112.4 million ($1.83 million). Quarterly revenue declined by a more moderate 5.8 percent to PHP53.3 million ($866,000).
Growth in software-related service fees helped partially offset the continued weakness in gaming. Second-quarter service fee income rose 28.8 percent to PHP36.1 million ($587,000), while personnel, service and travel costs declined.
DFNN said the contraction in gaming commission income remained a ‘significant constraint’ on near-term revenue.
The group is seeking to reduce its exposure to online regulatory volatility by expanding its gaming-site network and introducing gaming platforms supported by an outlet-driven distribution model.
DFNN is also continuing the nationwide rollout of LottoMatik and launched a digital rewards platform in June, allowing customers to earn raffle entries by scanning qualified tickets through its app.
