Third quarter gross gaming revenue for the casino sector in the Philippines totaled PHP49.3 billion ($860 million), up by 7.6 percent from the previous quarter and up by 110 percent yearly.

The results were announced by PAGCOR on Monday.

The vast majority of casino gaming revenue came from privately operated casinos, totaling PHP44.75 billion ($782 million) during the quarter. Private sector GGR for the first nine months of 2022 topped PHP117 billion ($2.04 billion).

PAGCOR operated casino revenue totaled (excluding Bingo), totaled PHP4.63 billion ($80.91 million), with the nine-month tally reaching PHP11.05 billion ($193.22 million).

Total industry GGR during the quarter, including bingo, electronic games and electronic sabong totaled PHP57.28 billion ($1 billion).

The results come as the country benefits from rises in visitation after the easing of entry requirements and the dropping of a mask mandate.
