Huang Ziyang, believed to be a key figure in establishing Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in Pampanga and Tarlac, has fled to Hong Kong, according to Senator Sherwin Gatchalian.
“We learned that he is now in Hong Kong. From Taiwan, he flew to Hong Kong, so we can see that he’s actively moving”, Gatchalian said during a press conference on Thursday.
Gatchalian cited documents found in raided POGO facilities in Pampanga and Tarlac, pointing to Huang’s connection with these companies.
“It’s important that we file a case against him so that a formal warrant of arrest in the Philippines can be issued. This will allow us to alert Interpol and restrict his movements.” said the senator.
Gatchalian added that it remains unclear if Huang is the “boss of all bosses of POGOs”.
