The Philippine National Police (PNP) has reported that some 4,039 individuals have been victims of crimes relating to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in the first half of this year.

According to reports, the figure is a sharp rise from the 128 reported POGO-related crimes in 1H22, largely due to authorities “intensifying operations”.

The figures were announced amidst an ongoing wave of support for the full shuttering of POGO operations in the country.
