IPI avoids receivership after new deal with US Department of Labor

Imperial Pacific International has narrowly avoided receivership for the time being after reaching a new arrangement with the US Department of Labor. Meanwhile, it is also agreed between the US Department of Labor and the CNMI Department of Finance that the former’s consent judgement vis-a-vis IPI must take precedence over the latter’s tax lien.
