Five Sands China departments have received ISO 45001:2018 certification for their occupational health and safety (OHS) management systems, a testament to the company’s success in proactively creating a safe working environment.

The food and beverage, procurement and supply chain, housekeeping, and security departments each earned the certification for the first time, and the facilities department earned two recertifications: one for OHS and another for its quality management system .

“Sands China is very pleased with this latest round of ISO certifications,” said Michael Naylor, senior vice president of facilities for Sands China Ltd. “The certifications, which apply to all our properties, are a result of our ongoing effort to proactively improve and enhance our OHS performance. After our facilities department earned ISO 45001 in 2019, we are excited to now see four new departments certified. Workplace safety is essential to the success of our operations and we are proud to see that our ever-expanding efforts to meet and exceed international standards are recognised.”

ISO certifications are awarded by the London-based British Standards Institution (BSI) Group, the world’s largest national standards and certification body.
