Sands China Ltd. recently invited Charles M. Choy, the co-chairman of Macau Beer Company Limited, to share the inspirational story of the successful local brand with local suppliers that have graduated from the Sands Procurement Academy and with Sands China team members.

The business sharing session was held Nov. 23 at The Venetian Macao‘s Adelson Advanced Education Centre, as part of Sands China’s efforts to promote the development of local SME suppliers.

The session’s 70 participants comprised local suppliers from the 9th to 12th cohorts of the Sands Procurement Academy, Sands China team members participating in the company’s various innovative local talent development programmes, and Sands China executives.

Choy highlighted how SMEs could develop into competitive enterprises and equip themselves for success as the region’s economy transforms. He also cited the continued growth of Macau Beer in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and encouraged local suppliers and the younger generation to seize the opportunities brought about by the development of the GBA and the nation.

Charlie Cai, vice president of procurement and supply chain for Venetian Macau Limited, said: “We are glad to offer this opportunity for local SME suppliers and our team members to gain insights and inspiration from a local success story, and we are grateful to Mr. Choy for participating in this business sharing session. Local suppliers are our strategic partners in mutual growth and we are pleased to continue our efforts to support their enterprises.”
