Job insecurity linked to depression: Macau study

A study by Macau Business and the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) has found that job insecurity is correlated with the generation of depression, anxiety and stress amongst Macau casino employees.

The results were based on a survey answered by 1,014 full-time employees across 39 casinos, half of which were casino dealers.

The researchers suggested that psychological health promotion campaigns aimed at casino employees should be a key factor addressed via organisational policies and activities.
