Wynn Resorts has announced a donation of MOP 80 million to the University of Macau Development Foundation (UMDF), highlighted as one of the company’s most significant corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The contribution will support the development of the University of Macau in every aspect as well as the initiatives of its Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management.

A cheque donation ceremony took place at Wynn Palace on September 19.

The Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management of the University of Macau highlights interdisciplinary cooperation, with its aim being to promote interdisciplinary research that has significant implications for the socio-economic development of Macau and the Greater Bay Area.

It achieves effective research results by integrating comprehensive professional knowledge from different colleges and faculties, with the research focusing on three main areas, namely Asia-focused economics, financial innovation, and smart tourism.

It strives to make an impactful contribution to the sustainable development of the Macau Special Administrative Region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

Over the years, Wynn has been committed to supporting the development of the University of Macau through the UMDF in the areas of teaching, research, social services, and talent cultivation.

Wynn’s efforts include providing support for the academic and research initiatives of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management, continuously pushing for Macau’s local teaching and research work, as well as strengthening the cultivation and development of local talent and professionals.
