G2E Asia is returning to Macau from July 11th to 13th, being held in conjunction with the new Asian IR Expo at the Venetian Macau.
Announcing details of the event today, organizers noted that featured speakers will include MGM Resorts International’s President of Global Development Ed Bowers.
Bowers is joined by Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort COO Chen Si, as well as risk specialist Steve Vickers and 2NT8 Limited’s Managing Director Alidad Tash.
The G2E segment of the dual-expo also welcomes Credit Suisse Managing Director Kenneth Fong and Sandra Bograd, of Columbia University.
The Macau edition, coming hot on the heels of a similar event in Singapore, is set to focus on regulatory oversight, future trends, transition from VIP to mass and non-gaming, best practices and other predictions for the future.
It’s expected to draw some 5,000 trade visitors.
Asian IR Expo makes its debut
The first-edition of the Asian IR Expo, held in conjunction with G2E Asia Macau, is also expecting some 5,000 buyers and trade visitors, with ‘more than 100 exhibiting companies’.
The organizers note that they expect it to be the ‘premier event for the Asian integrated resorts industry, focusing on the travel economic outook and travel development trends ‘to accommodate post-COVID needs’.
It’s also focusing on the Macau SAR government’s non-gaming diversification plan, encompassing elements such as ‘art and entertainment tourism, wellness and health tourism and sports and esports tourism’.
The event will feature MGTO Director Helena de Senna Fernandes, Pacific Asia Travel Association Chairman Professor Ben Goh and Japan MICE Association President Naomi Mano.
Other speakers include Best Shine Group founder Simon Tse, QUO Global Director of Healthcare and Wellness Ruben Toral and French May Representative Claire Johnson.
