SJM Resorts supports Macau tourism policy with launch of gastronomy event

SJM Resorts will present the first edition of the SJM Gastronomy Series in continued support of the Macau SAR Government’s efforts to strengthen the development of Tourism + Gastronomy.

Mesa at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau jointly presents a “Collaborative Michelin Western Dining Experience” with The Kitchen at Grand Lisboa Macau from now through 31 March 2022.

As Official Partner of the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau, SJM is committed to promoting the development and exchange of Macau’s multi-cultural cuisines and promoting Macau’s status as a UNESCO-designated Creative City of Gastronomy. Taking a farm-to-table approach to dining, Mesa offers an elegant and stylish venue for The Kitchen’s modern steakhouse dishes. In Mesa’s chic setting, the talented culinary teams present a “Collaborative Michelin Western Dining Experience” that include Baked Clams with Minced Iberico Pork, and Grilled Pacific Shrimp with Sea Urchin Butter to name a few. This exclusive menu is complemented by an impressive biodynamic wine programme featuring French and Portuguese labels, as well as two special Michelin-themed beverages and one signature Mesa cocktail.

Located on Level 3 of THE KARL LAGERFELD hotel tower at Grand Lisboa Palace, Mesa offers bold, modern décor fused with oriental inspiration, entirely designed by the eponymous fashion legend. Mesa’s culinary team uses eclectic ingredients with a modern flair to present a menu of contemporary Portuguese cuisine. Shortly after the restaurant’s opening, the exceptional wines and vintages at Mesa received the “3 Glass Award” (Excellent) from China’s Wine List of the Year.

The Kitchen, located on Level 3 of Grand Lisboa Macau, is a modern steakhouse which has been awarded one Michelin-star for nine consecutive years by the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong and Macau. Offering spectacular views of Macau, The Kitchen combines innovative concepts with traditional steakhouse culture to offer a menu of international steak and seafood dishes. The restaurant also features an extensive wine collection of over 17,000 labels and has been honoured with Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence” since 2012.
