Macau residents to get MOP8,000 to spend

Macau citizens and permanent residents will soon benefit from a MOP8,000 (US$999.3) handout in order to boost consumer spending as the SAR recovers from the pandemic. 

The amount is raised from the previous MOP4,800 announced last month, which came under criticism.
