Macau welcomed approximately 1.05 million visitors during the first six days of October Golden Week, including around 131,000 on October 6th, according to official data.
The six-day estimate combines the Macao Government Tourism Office’s first-five-day tally of 920,456 with the latest daily figure from the Public Security Police Force.
Tuesday’s arrivals were about 23 percent below Monday’s 169,631. Daily traffic peaked at 210,276 on October 4th before easing over the following two days.
The cumulative tally equates to an average of approximately 175,000 visitors per day, above the industry’s pre-holiday expectation of 150,000, which was endorsed by MGTO.
Visitor departures reached approximately 146,000 on October 6th, exceeding arrivals by around 15,000 as mainland China’s seven-day National Day holiday approached its final day on October 7th.
The Border Gate remained the main entry point for visitors, followed by Hengqin Port.
Macau’s checkpoints handled approximately 713,000 entries and exits during the day, including residents and other travelers. Visitor movements, covering both arrivals and departures, accounted for around 277,000 of the total.
