Goa casinos ask for license fee waiver

Delta Corp and the casino industry in Goa has asked for a waiver in license fees for the period the properties were forced to close last year due to the pandemic.

The casinos were closed from April 1 until the end of October. Delta warned they are likely to face a further shutdown due to the new crisis currently gripping India.

India’s biggest operator reported a profit of Rs 57.65 crore in the final quarter of the fiscal year to end March, 2021, as sales rose almost 17 percent.
