India’s Supreme Court upholds GST on lottery sales

India’s Supreme Court has rejected a petition by Skill Lotto Solutions against the government’s decision to impose a general sales tax of 12 percent on lottery tickets. That tax rises to 28 percent if the tickets are sold to someone in another state.
