SBC Summit 2026 introduces four Tech Academies focused on AI, player engagement, marketing and Web3

SBC Summit 2026 is set to strengthen its educational offering with the introduction of four dedicated Tech Academies, providing attendees with practical, hands-on learning across some of the betting and gaming industry’s most transformative sectors.

Running on 29 and 30 September at Sala Tejo within Lisbon’s MEO Arena, the specialist academies will focus on artificial intelligence, player experience, digital marketing and CRM, and Web3 and crypto. The sessions will combine expert-led discussions, live demonstrations, workshops, case studies and AMAs designed to provide delegates with actionable knowledge that can be applied directly within their businesses.

Delegates can gain access to their selected Tech Academy through an Academy add-on purchased via SBC Connect, the event’s official networking platform. Participation will also contribute to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits as part of SBC Summit’s accredited educational programme.

“SBC Summit’s conference agenda is a fantastic place to educate yourself on current and future industry developments, but the Tech Academies give delegates the opportunity to take that learning a step further,” shared Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC. “The Academy format allows us to get more specific, dig into the details and create the kind of collaboration, knowledge exchange and active participation that is rarely found at industry events. Attendees won’t just leave with a better understanding of their chosen subject; they’ll leave with skills and strategies they can actually put into practice.”

Sponsored by CreateFuture and BetConstruct AI, the AI Academy will examine how artificial intelligence is generating measurable value across the betting and gaming ecosystem, while also addressing its limitations and the continued importance of human oversight.

Topics will range from sports data applications and autonomous AI agents to the risks associated with AI-enabled fraud. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore practical techniques for developing AI-powered tools relevant to their daily responsibilities.

Featured sessions include:

Powered by Soft2Bet, the Player Experience Academy will focus on the evolving dynamics of player engagement, exploring how operators can create personalised experiences while balancing commercial objectives, retention strategies and player protection requirements.

The programme will cover behavioural design, gamification, rewards frameworks, player segmentation and responsible engagement strategies across varying regulatory environments.

Featured sessions include:

The Digital Marketing & CRM Academy will offer attendees insights into modern marketing decision-making, from campaign planning and channel selection to creator partnerships and customer retention strategies.

Sessions will examine evolving audience behaviour, localisation challenges and how operators can maximise returns from marketing investments.

Featured sessions include:

The Web3 and Crypto Academy will focus on practical adoption rather than theoretical discussions, highlighting where blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies and digital assets are already contributing value within gaming businesses.

Alongside opportunities related to payments and transparency, the sessions will address regulatory considerations and approaches to integrating Web3 technologies alongside existing gaming platforms.

Featured sessions include:

Across the four academies, attendees will hear from a range of industry leaders, including Behshad Behzadi (Sportradar), Lluis Mora (Entain), Francesco Postiglione (Casumo), Andrew Cochrane (Soft2Bet), James Fox (Google), Stephen Denver (OpenAI), Alex Savage (Meta) and Dinis Guarda (Ztudium), among others.

Each Tech Academy add-on is priced at €249 and includes access to three interactive masterclasses spanning trading, casino and responsible marketing topics. Attendees must also hold an SBC Summit event pass.

Depending on their role and requirements, participants can choose from Expo, Conference, Networking, Business and VIP Passes, while eligible Operators, affiliates and regulators can apply for complimentary admission https://sbcevents.com/sbc-summit/.
