MGM Resorts joint venture plans two more China hotels: report

A joint venture between United States-based gaming group MGM Resorts International and Diaoyutai State Guesthouse is planning a further two new hotels in the mainland Chinese city of Zhuhai, next to Macau.

One of the new hotels in Zhuhai will be called ‘Mhub by MGM Zhuhai Xianglu Bay and is set set to open in 2025. While in 2024, the joint venture company plans to open a Diaoyutai Hotel Zhuhai, in the city’s Xiangshan Lake Park region.

Macau’s operators have been stepping up plans for non-gaming investment in China, with Melco Resorts & Entertainment recently announcing plans for a multi-million dollar theme park in Zhongshan.
