iXie launches Game Lifter AI platform to boost game studio production

iXie, the gaming division of Indium, has launched Game Lifter, an agentic AI platform designed to boost production capacity for game studios without expanding headcount.

The platform launches with dedicated QA and LiveOps layers, with Game Development and Art agents planned for release within the next four to six months.

The problem: more work, smaller teams

Modern games are no longer one-off releases; they are live products that require constant updates, events, and monitoring. Every new build must be validated and every live event designed, tracked, and troubleshooted—often by hand. At the same time, industry surveys show significant headcount reductions, with GDC’s 2026 survey reporting that 28% of developers lost their jobs over the past two years. The result: compounding workloads on shrinking teams.

Game Lifter is built to close that gap.

How Game Lifter helps studios operate at a higher cadence

“Studios aren’t asking ‘how do we test faster?’ They’re asking, ‘how does a team of 40 operate at the cadence of a team of 90?’” said Ram Sukumar, CEO of Indium. “Game Lifter is our answer. Clients see concrete outcomes: more builds validated per sprint, live events that ship on schedule without burning out the team, and senior staff focused on high-value work instead of repetitive tasks.”

Internal benchmarks show up to 70% faster QA cycles and 45% automation in LiveOps workflows, according to Karthik Bala, Chief Business Officer at iXie Gaming.

“This is the most fun we’ve had shipping anything in 14 years,” Bala said. “We’re starting with studios we already partner with across the USA, Korea, Japan, and Europe—deployed inside their own environments, with our engineers embedded from day one. We’ve lived those 11pm certification scrambles alongside these teams. Building the platform that ends those nights is a big win.”

What’s available now

QA Layer

Game Lifter’s QA agents cover the full testing lifecycle, including:

  • Test case authoring from design documents and code diffs
  • Evidence-backed defect reporting with taxonomy and hotspot analysis
  • Cross-device visual regression and network traffic inspection
  • Self-healing automation that adapts to content updates
  • Coverage and confidence scoring per gameplay system
LiveOps Layer

LiveOps agents help studios manage and optimize live services by:

  • Mapping telemetry lineage and detecting event fatigue
  • Clustering support tickets by root cause
  • Tailoring events and offers based on player behavior
Coming next

Within four to six months, iXie plans to add Game Development and Art agents, including:

  • Codebase reading and agent-guided builds
  • Asset dependency mapping
  • Real-time prediction of user behavior and churn

Security and control by design

Game Lifter runs inside a studio’s own cloud or VPC, including air-gapped environments. Source code never leaves the studio’s perimeter. Connections are read-only, no agent can commit to a repository, and nothing is published to a live environment without human approval. Classification accuracy is validated against human-labelled datasets, generated automation is compilation-checked, and every output includes a confidence score traceable to the file.
