CVC Capital Partners, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, is set to enhance its investment in the gambling industry through the acquisition of Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), based in Lakewood, USA, along with its affiliates.
This move was announced via a notification of concentration on the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) website.
The acquisition will be executed through Avalon Buyer Limited, a newly formed investment vehicle indirectly backed by CVC Funds. GLI is involved in the testing and inspection services sector, providing certification and regulatory advisory support to the global gaming industry.
This deal was said to align with CVC’s ongoing global expansion strategy, which encompasses various sectors, including financial services and manufacturing across Europe, the US, and the Asia-Pacific region.
