Ellen Whittemore, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Wynn Resorts, has announced her retirement effective early 2025.
Jacqui Krum, the current General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Encore Boston Harbor will succeed her.
Despite her retirement, Whittemore will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Wynn Macau and as a consultant to Wynn Resorts. The announcement was updated by the company on Friday.
Whittemore played a crucial role in stabilizing Wynn Resorts during the tumultuous period in 2018 when former Chairman and CEO Steve Wynn faced allegations of sexual harassment and subsequently left the company—claims he has denied. She was also involved in resolving significant legal matters stemming from Wynn’s departure, including a recent $70 million settlement with shareholders who filed a class-action lawsuit over the decline in their stock value following his exit.
