Lotte Tour Development, developer and operator of the Jeju Dream Tower said it has sold more than 8,500 room packages in just 70-minutes as part of their end-of-year sales.

The sale was conducted through the Hyundai Home Shopping website and mobile app which began on the 7th.

Lotte Tour said the sale is set to last until the 14th of November, after which it expects to exceed the sale of more than 10,000 room packages.

Lotte Tourism Development said, “With the spread of Corona, group inquiries are rapidly increasing, and sales from rooms to food and beverages and casinos are increasing significantly.”

Earlier this year, an outbreak of covid-19 on Jeju island in South Korea caused mass cancellation of holiday reservations and put a dampener on talks for a travel bubble with neighbouring countries

Since then, South Korea opened up a travel bubble with Saipan, allowing fully vaccinated people to be exempted from mandatory quarantine upon arrival to each other’s country.
