Singapore FM sees no quick recovery for Asia air travel

Singapore’s Finance Minister said he sees no prospect of air travel returning between Asian nations any time soon due to recurring waves of Covid infections.

Speaking to CNBC, Lawrence Wong did say the island state is working on travel bubble arrangement with some countries, without naming them.

Singapore has negotiated a travel bubble with Hong Kong, though that has now been postponed twice due to outbreaks in both cities. Airlines reported strong bookings for available seats.
