The data of 665,000 Marina Bay Sands customers was illicitly accessed in a data security breach in October 2023.

Marina Bay Sands (MBS) reported the breach, which targeted some of its Sands LifeStyle rewards program members, on Tuesday.

According to CNA, MBS disclosed that it became aware of the ‘data security incident’ on October 20th.

The compromised personal data included names, email addresses, phone numbers, country of residence, membership numbers, and membership tiers.

A company representative noted that “We understand your concerns about this incident. Based on our current investigation, your personal data remains unaffected.”

Membership data from MBS’ casino rewards program is believed to remain unaffected.

MBS has partnered with an external cybersecurity company and taken steps to enhance system security and protect data integrity.

MBS stated that, as of their investigation, they have found no evidence to date indicating that the unauthorized third party has misused the data to harm customers.
