The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has reported a total income of PHP73.11 billion ($1.3 billion) from its gaming operations in 2023. This represents a robust year-on-year increase of 32.8 percent.
According to the most updated data, PAGCOR recorded overall revenue of nearly PHP79.38 billion ($1.4 billion) in 2023. The figure represents an increase of 34.6 percent compared to the PHP58.96 billion ($1.05 billion) recorded in 2022.
In 2023, PAGCOR’s total expenses increased by 18 percent year-on-year, reaching nearly PHP26.65 billion ($473 million).
During the same period, PAGCOR deducted just under PHP45.63 billion ($811 million) for subsidies, financial assistance, and other contributions to the government. This amount marked a 44.2 percent increase compared to the PHP31.65 billion ($562 million) deduction for similar matters in 2022.
Casinos operated by PAGCOR recorded a net income of approximately PHP6.82 billion ($121 million) in 2023, reflecting a 53.3 percent increase from just under PHP4.45 billion ($79 million) in 2022.
