The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) said it excluded a total of 206 individuals from gaming venues in the country, marking a rise of 15 percent from the previous year.

Of the number, 94 were self-exclusion requests from individuals, 112 came at the request of family members, and 9 emanated from the casino licensee.

PAGCOR said the player exclusion program is implemented to provide patrons who feel that relatives or themselves are developing a problem with gambling with the option of barring them from all gaming venues or sites.

The regulator offers a computerized database of persons who are restricted from playing in gaming establishments, operated and regulated by PAGCOR nationwide.

According to statistics, which date from 2013 to 2021, there are 1215 people currently excluded from the country’s gaming establishments.
