Bloomberry Q1 performance improving prior to renewed lockdown

Bloomberry Resorts said performance at its Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila showed a sequential improvement in Q1 from the prior quarter, although the property closed again from March 29 due to a renewed Covid outbreak.

Q1 gross gambling revenue was PHP6.9 billion, down 44 percent from 2020, but up 29 percent from Q4. On a sequential basis, VIP, Mass table and electronic gaming GGR was up 65 percent, 27 percent and 12 percent.

The net loss was PHP780.8 million, improving from PHP2.5 billion in the prior quarter.

Casinos in Manila have been operating under tight restrictions, only opening to invited guests and long-term hotel patrons.
