The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has ranked Macau in 4th place amongst the top 10 cities where travelers spent the most money in 2022.
Macau came in after Dubai, Doha and London.
According to the rankings, travelers spent some $15.58 billion during the year in Macau, significantly ahead of Singapore – which came in 8th, with a visitor spend of $10.97 billion.
Frontrunner Dubai saw some $29.42 billion in visitor spend during the year, far ahead of second and third-place Doha ($16.79 billion) and London ($16.07 billion).
Amsterdam came in after Macau, with $13.59 billion in visitor spend, followed by Istanbul ($13.13 billion), Barcelona ($12.73 billion), New York ($12.45 billion), Singapore ($10/97 billion) and Paris ($9.67 billion).
