Macau casino employee arrested for falsifying membership points fraud

A Macau casino supervisor and an accomplice have been arrested by police for cheating the casino out of HK$97,000 ($12,400) by falsifying membership points.

According to local media reports, the Macau Judiciary Police received a report from the casino on the 21st of this month, stating that since January of this year, the suspect, Li, had repeatedly used the computer to alter the member points record. Li exaggerated the amount and gambling time of her accomplice, forged points to obtain gifts, and the related points could be exchanged for hotel rooms, promotional chips, food vouchers, supermarket gift vouchers, etc., resulting in the casino losing more than HK$97,000.

The police have arrested two individuals, with one suspect apprehended while at work. According to the investigation, the two suspects have shared the earnings from the fraud.
