Macau’s casinos saw a 24.1 percent fall in mass GGR in 3Q21 compared to the previous quarter, whilst VIP GGR fell 29.9 percent, according to data from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) on Monday.

The mass GGR number (inclusive of slots) was down 67.8 percent from the same period in 2019, whilst VIP GGR was down 80.8 percent compared to 3Q19.

Macau’s casinos have been impacted by ongoing travel restrictions between Macau, Hong Kong, Mainland China and the rest of the world.

Total GGR for the first nine months of the year totaled MOP67.8 billion (US$8.4 billion), which was up 76 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
