Sands China on Friday announced the establishment of an Environmental, Social, and Governance Committee.
Ms. Chiang Yun, an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, is appointed as the Chairman of the ESG Committee and Dr. Wong Ying Wai, an Executive Director of the Company, and Mr. Kenneth Patrick Chung, an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, are appointed as members of the ESG Committee, all with effect from April 16, 2021.
An ESG Committee of a company is typically there to consider the material environmental, social, and governance issues relevant to the group’s business activities and is there to work with other board committees to assist the board in fulfilling its responsibilities.
