The Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) Training & Development Department was recently named “Team of the Year – Hospitality & Leisure” at the Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards 2026, celebrating its successful execution of a robust people‑readiness plan and positioning GEG as the only winner in this category and in Macau.
This award represents GEG’s third human resources recognition in the year, coming after two leading brand awards at the “5th National Human Resources Innovation Competition”, further underscoring its continuous achievements in talent development. The Galaxy Entertainment Group is committed to building a multifaceted career platform that supports both vertical and lateral growth for team members. Through its comprehensive and continually enhanced T&D framework, GEG works to strengthen professional capabilities, expand career pathways, and elevate overall competitiveness.
Mr. Bill Lu, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration of GEG, attended the award ceremony in Hong Kong and accepted the honour on the company’s behalf. GEG creates comprehensive growth opportunities for team members through structured induction training, systematic service concept courses, and cross-departmental development platforms. At the same time, GEG actively promotes continuous education and encourages team members to pursue professional qualifications through courses such as the Forbes hospitality training.
To date, more than 4,000 GEG team members have obtained professional certifications, further strengthening their service skills and professional standards. GEG’s hotels and food and beverage outlets have also earned numerous international awards, including five-star ratings from Forbes Travel Guide and recognitions in the Michelin Guide, highlighting the team’s outstanding achievements in talent development and service excellence.
Previously, GEG received two accolades at the “5th National Human Resources Innovation Competition 2025”, organized by the Human Resources Management Committee of the China Chamber of International Commerce and HRLead, including the “Best Talent Development Brand – Leading Brand” for its diversified and innovative talent training program, and the “Best Innovative HR Innovation practice – Leading Brand” for the “Experience Macao with GEG – Nurturing Talents through Cultural and Tourism Excellence” case study.
Among them, the “Experience Macao with GEG” program was jointly launched by GEG and the Macau University of Tourism, leverages academic expertise and corporate strengths to enrich team members’ understanding of Macau’s community tourism and cultural landscape, thereby showcasing Macau’s unique cultural and tourism appeal more vividly.
