The six gaming license holders in Macau will have their complimentary income tax on gaming operations waived yet again, for a five-year period ending in 2027.
Authorities in the SAR published the news in the SAR’s Official Gazette last week.
This does not absent the concessionaires from their 40 percent tax on gross gaming revenue (GGR), nor their annual fixed payment of MOP30 million.
Operators are also required to pay fixed fees per gaming table – at MOP150K for mass market tables, MOP1K per slot and MOP300K per VIP table.
Concessionaires are now also facing an increased non-gaming spend of up to 20 percent of their yearly pledged concession, as Macau’s GGR in 2023 topped MOP180 billion.
