Wynn Macau Ltd has granted 35.98 million new shares, worth about HK$204 million ($26.2 million) at the grant-date closing price, to more than 11,000 staff in an award tied to the operator’s 20th anniversary in Macau.
The awards, made on September 3rd under the group’s Employee Ownership Scheme, carry no purchase price and represent about 0.68 percent of issued share capital, a filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange showed.
Recipients comprise 11,040 employee participants, including executive directors Frederic Jean-Luc Luvisutto and Linda Chen, plus 16 related entity participants and one service provider.
Most awards vest on September 6th, 2027. However, 1,453 employees with at least 20 years of service, among them one executive director, will have half of their shares vest on September 6th, 2026, a vesting period shorter than the scheme’s 12-month minimum. The board cited the ‘one-off nature of the grant’ in connection with the group’s 20th anniversary of operations in Macau. Wynn Macau opened in September 2006.
Non-board employees took almost the entire grant, receiving 35.69 million shares, an average of roughly 3,230 shares each. Chen was granted 8,562 shares and Luvisutto 2,740.
